Monocrystalline silicon rods (ingots)

Silicon rods, also known as ingots, are cylindrical forms of high-purity silicon. They are produced using the zone melting process, whereby polycrystalline silicon is converted into a monocrystalline state. These rods serve as the starting material for the production of silicon wafers. The purity of the silicon in the ingots significantly influences the performance and quality of the resulting semiconductor products.
